Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
At Broseley C of E Primary, we provide a range of support for children with additional needs. We have an ethos of inclusion, and we tailor our curriculum so that it can be accessed by all our learners, regardless of ability. We strive to develop a good understanding of our pupils' specific needs and use a variety of strategies, targeted support, and personalised interventions to ensure that they can thrive.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is a complex area as there are many specific needs that children may have, and they will need to be supported in a variety of different ways. Our SEND Information Report below provides a comprehensive guide to the different areas of SEND and details the different levels of support that we provide in school.
If you have any questions or you need further information regarding SEND, please contact our SENCO, Liz Simpson on 01952 567630 or email liz.simpson@broseleyprimary.co.uk. For any complaints about the support the school provides for pupils with SEND, we would welcome a discussion with class teacher, SENCo, or Headteacher in the first instance. If this does not resolve the concerns, we would ask that you access the Complaints Policy and Procedure accessible within the policies section of our website.
Shropshire’s SEND Local Offer has lots of information, support and resources for parents/carers of children with SEND including education, EHCPs, health and wellbeing, early help, family support, financial support, transport, things to do and lots more.
